Ampol Roadside Assistance provides 24/7 emergency support if your rental car breaks down, has a flat battery, runs out of fuel, or has other minor issues while you're on the road.

✔ Flat battery jump-start ✔ Flat tyre change (using the car’s spare) ✔ Running out of fuel (fuel delivery to get you to the nearest station) ✔ Lost or locked-in keys (up to $150 for locksmith or spare key delivery) ✔ Minor roadside repairs (if possible) ✔ Towing (up to 30 km free; extra distance at your cost) ✔ Bogged vehicle recovery (up to $150, extra cost covered by you) ✔ Taxi ride (up to $55 if your car is towed, metro areas only)

If the issue is due to a car failure (e.g., dead battery, engine issue, mechanical fault), you pay $0 – it’s fully covered. If the issue is due to driver error (e.g., lost keys, running out of fuel, flat battery from leaving lights on), you’ll be charged a $9.90 callout fee. Additional costs apply for certain services (see below). You must pay on demand for: ❌ Towing beyond 30 km (you pay for the extra distance) ❌ Wrong fuel (if you put the wrong fuel in, you pay for the full cost of towing and repairs) ❌ Lost or locked-in keys beyond $150 (Ampol covers up to $150; you pay any extra) ❌ No spare tyre available (you must pay for towing if the vehicle can't be driven) ❌ Any damage caused by misuse, off-road driving, or negligence

Ampol will cover up to $150 for a locksmith, spare key delivery, or towing. If the cost exceeds this, you must pay the extra. Replacement keys are not covered. A $9.90 charge applies if it’s your fault.

✔ Roadside assistance is available within a 30 km radius from 49 Victoria Street, Windsor (Maintech Automotive Workshop). ✔ If you need towing and are outside this area, you can still be towed, but any additional kilometers beyond 30 km will be charged on demand (on-site). ✔ Towing costs typically range from $3 – $6 per km, depending on the distance and location.
